From Ruhkkojavri, the trail climbs gently up the mountain to a dry plateau where it’s easy to make good progress. Soon you’ll see Lake Holmvannet Suolajavro, whose tributary you’ll need to cross. It isn’t deep, but there is some current. The trail then runs above the lake and stays mostly dry. At the southern end, you must cross another tributary, though it carries less water than the northern one. After that, the route heads almost straight south, and you make good progress. At a junction, you cross a vehicle track and follow a path marked with red dots and dashes instead of the usual red “T.” This trail doesn’t quite match the E1 route on the map, but it now appears to be the official route. In any case, it’s easy to follow. To the east, you can see the long lakes Nordre Stabbursdalvannet and Stabbursdalsvannet. There’s also a cabin there, likely belonging to the Sami. The final section of the stage goes through dense forest and is heavily infested with mosquitoes. The Bojobeaskihytta is currently being renovated (as of August 2025), but a small side cabin with two beds and a gas stove is open, freely accessible, and cozy.
