Von der Vaisaluoktahütte aus führt der Weg zunächst knapp 2 km durch die samische Siedlung bis zur Brücke über den Guossjájåhka. Hinter der Brücke befindet sich eine Kreuzung, hier zweigt der E1 nach rechts bergauf in Richtung Kutjaurestugan ab. Geradeaus würde es weiter zur Akkastugorna gehen.
Der Weg wird immer wieder von Zufahrten zu den Hütten der Sami gekreuzt, aber wenn man den roten Markierungen folgt, findet man den Weg durch das Spurendickicht aus dem Ort hinaus. Nach einem anstrengenden Anstieg erreicht man schließlich das Ende des Birkenwalds und den Beginn des Fjälls. Von hier aus hat man noch einmal einen tollen Blick auf den Akkajaure.
Nach 10 km erreicht man am Kårsåjaure eine weitere Nothütte. Vor dem Abstieg zum Kutjaure gibt es noch zwei Brücken, wobei sich an der zweiten Brücke ein hervorragender Zeltplatz befindet. Ansonsten geht es nun bergab zum Sieberjåhka, wo sich die Kutjaurestugan befindet.
