Stage description

The path reaches the "Passo del Portello" about halfway along the route. The B&B "Case Poggio" offers its guests a free shuttle service from the pass to the B&B and back.

At the end of the stage in Barbagelata is the unmanaged Rifugio Barbagelata (accommodation currently not possible. As of May 2022).

An alternative to the end of the stage in Barbagelata is a detour to the Rifugio Caucaso with a magnificent view of the sea (the Rifugio Caucaso does not currently offer accommodation, as of May 2022). You can get there if you turn right before the AV meets the road before Barbagelata, following a sign.

PS: I would be very grateful if you could let me know if the Rifugio Barbagelata and the Rifugio Caucaso now offer accommodation again, so that I can update the text.
