Stage description

N.B.: We don't have an English description of the stage just yet. We'll give you the German version for now until the English version is ready.

Von Freilingen führt ein breiter Wirtschaftsweg bergab nach Maxsein. Es geht weiter auf einem Waldpfad nach Selters. Dort lohnt ggf. ein kleiner Abstecher ins Dorf (Bäcker, Döner, etc.). Der E1 führt auf breiten Wegen, mal geteert, mal geschottert in stetem Auf und Ab vorbei an Wirges nach Staudt. Rechter Hand kann man auf dem gegenüberliegenden Hang zwei Türme erkennen. Einen Funkturm und den Turm „Auf dem Köppel“ an dem die nächste Etappe knapp vorbei führt. Kleines Highlight ist die Kapelle Steimel und schon ist Montabaur erreicht. Vorbei an nicht so schönem Gewerbegebiet zur Altstadt mit Burg.
