Eine recht kurze, aber schöne Etappe. Der E1 steigt führt durch den Malabotta-Wald und langsam aus den Monti Nebrodi hinab zum malerisch gelegenen Dorf Malvagna (Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten). Der gewaltige Vulkan Ätna ist bereits deutlich in der Ferne zu sehen.
