Stage description

N.B.: We don't have an English description of the stage just yet. We'll give you the German version for now until the English version is ready.

Der E1 führt - weiterhin auf der Strada Alta - auf weitestgehend schönen Wegen durch Wälder, aber auch durch offene, aussichtsreiche Landschaften. Dabei werden immer wieder kleine Ortschaften durchquert. Hier hält in der Regel auch der Bus (Postauto). Es gibt unterwegs einige sehenswerte Kirchen, die besichtigt werden können.

Hinter Tengia gibt es einen Wasserfall unter dem es sich wunderbar baden lässt. Bald darauf geht es stetig bergab. In der kleinen Ortschaft Calonico gibt es einen kleinen Laden, der jedoch täglich nur von 11 bis 12 Uhr geöffnet ist. Kurz hinter Calonico wird ein parkartiges Gelände durchquert und wenig später beginnt der finale und anstrende Schlussanstieg über teils steinige und wurzelige Wege. Kurz vor dem Ende der Etappe wird der Aufstieg mit einem schönen, aussichtsreichen und auf gleicher Höhe verlaufenden Wegabschnitt belohnt.
