Do E1 true hikers exist?

3 Jahre 1 Monat her #238 von Freek Van Ootegem
Hi,

First off al a word of praise to this up and coming forum and great to keep other hikers informed! I'm interested in keeping tags on this website and would be up to the challenge in the future.

Second ... has there been person who has thru hiked the complete E1 and is this in any way confirmed?

Thank you!
Freek

Hi Freek,

perhaps you should check this site: thelongwalk.de/
I think the guy hiked the whole E1 and it sounds real to me.

Greetings

Hello Freek,
Lena and Thilo from Germany started last year at North Cape. They are still on their way down to Sicily and currently in Campania in Italy. They write down their experiences (in German) in their blog: e1-wanderung.wixsite.com/lena-thilo
Many greetings
Sven

Hi, yes I was wondering as well if people thru hike the whole route. It seems to be about 7000km. So it's basically the best part of a year. I've done long treks in North Norway (more then a week) several times in a year. It's muddy up there!

I kind of dream about the whole route. But to do it would be a great undertaking. Is anybody seriously planning to do it?

I guess the first question is how to get to the North Cape (Nordkapp) in Norway. Fly to Alta or Hammerfest, then hitchhike?
