Stage description

You can buy food at the starting point in Skanderborg. From here, there are trains to Aarhus, the finish of the stage Ry, and on to Silkeborg. At the exit of Skanderborg, the trail follows a larger road for quite a while before turning right and entering smaller roads. Then you have to get on the other side of the motorway and quickly reach Mossø. The first town on the lake is Alken, where buses also run. Then you walk along the lake through a lot of forest via Boes to Øm Monastery. Shortly after the monastery, turn right into the forest. There the path mostly follows the little river Gudenå and there are some nice resting places. Ry is slightly off the trail, but the small diversions is worth it. The town is quite picturesquely situated by the water. There is a supermarket with a café right at the entrance to the town.
